hello. i am new to 3d printing and to arduino and thought a diy kit would be my best bet to learn on. well i have the printer almost fully set up besides z axis top braces because i am having problems getting the stepper motors to move evenly and not bind up (beleive i just need to align side heights and top to bottom widths better). but my main problem is when i attempt to connect to my laptop it fails every time. i have now been able to get my usb serial converter to show up along with a com port 3 in my device manager after much troubleshooting and online forum reading. but under com port 3 it does not show my actual printer just com port 3. if i go to port 3 options my baud rate is defaulting at 9600 also and does not show a 250000 option, im thinking that is way to low from what ive been reading but am at a total loss of how to get any further.
i am running windows vista and stock software is cura and ive downloaded repetier host my arduino board is a mks base v1.2
any help would be amazing.
thank you
