I was wondering what exactly the bed level mapping tool was in the Repetier-Host software (under the tools menu). How should it be used, what does it do, can it be sped up at all?
It seems like everytime I try it I stupidly trigger my FSR Z-min endstop on the first or second probe, though it keeps going. Between points it raises the hotend within 20-40mm of the max endstops before "jumping" to the next XY point and lowering the head back down to the bed. However this jump is almost like someone is grabbing the effector plate and slamming it to the correct location rather than stepping to that point.
