I've just converted my DaVinci to repetier, and have things mostly adjusted to work properly. However, I'm getting issues with walls not connecting to the top. Here's an example: [attachment 42448 soma_sample_marked.jpg].
There's also some artifacting on the top layer, but that's relatively minor, and I sort of expect it on a cheap printer. Printing parts with small rods - say 4 or 5 mm wide - makes it a lot worse.
Checking the web, this seems to be a slicer issue. However, the suggestions are "make sure the feature width is an integer multiple of the filament width" (done, I think), "adjust the settings", and "try another slicer". I'm currently using slic3r.
Anyone like to suggest another source for the problem? Maybe suggested slicer changes? I'm using slic3r - would cura or something else work better? Are the other artifacts on the top (the sides and bottom are fine) a clue I should be looking into?
