Mac: Log window widget suddenly gone, slicing produces no G-Code (1 reply)

Hi,

I have a very strange problem with RH 0.53 and 0.56 (upgrading did not fix it). It popped up from one day to the next, and I have no idea what I did wrong.

When I open RH, after about half a second after the main window shows, the log widget disappears. I don't know how to describe it better. The window frame is still there, but it is grey, the widget with the green time part and the white output part is gone. My guess is this happens after some preferences file gets read in. This is just a symptom though. The strange behavior continues: I load an STL file (drawn correctly), hit "Slice", Slic3r starts, hops about in the dock for a while, then exits after a plausible time for slicing of the part. I don't see any output in the log since the widget is gone. But also there is no sliced part in the 3D window and no G-Code in the editor view. When I save the resulting G-Code, the file is empty.

When I open RH as another user (sudo "...Repetier-Host Mac.app/Contents/MacOS/Repetier-Host Mac"), the window looks fine.

I have tried to find anything that RH might use as a config file that might have gotten corrupted somehow, and come up with these:

Moving any of these, or all of these, out of the way does not fix the problem.

Anyone have an idea on what might be going wrong?

EDIT -- moving all the Slic3r config files out of the way does not help either.
